Youth Programs
These programs are designed for minors brought to the attention of the court for possession of alcohol or tobacco. The classes are offered at carious sites in Oakland County. They are always on a Saturday, from 8:30 AM to Noon.
Alcohol/Drugs
Small group discussion session that focuses on the effect of chemical use and abuse including legal issues, physical and emotional health effects, social and personal implications, and decision making skills. Group participation is required in activities that link present behavior to future goals and address development of strengths, communication skills and self esteem.
Tobacco
The purpose of this class is to provide intervention at the critical early stage in the addiction process. The age specific objectives are to learn the benefits of quitting, understand the concept of habituation/addiction, develop skills to resist peer and social pressure, and learn positive health habits.
